Whether it be through concert appearances or recordings, television or films, commercials or education, Bill Cosby has the ability to touch people’s lives. His humor often centers on the basic cornerstones of our existence, seeking to provide an insight into our roles as parents, children, family members, and men and women. Don’t miss the comedic genius, BILL COSBY, as he returns to Bangor for his premier engagement here at the Cross Insurance Center for what promises to be a Night to Remember!

Ticket Prices range from $25.00 to $59.50. This show features a GA Pit at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine. Hotel packages are available through Ticketmaster.

Due to overwhelming demand, Grammy Award-winning band, Arcade Fire, today announced additional dates for the highly-anticipated REFLEKTOR TOUR in support of its international #1 album Reflektor (Merge). The band will perform a third concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on August 24, 2014 following two previously announced shows on August 22 and 23.

The band also announced a new date in Bangor, ME at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion as part of the Machias Savings Bank Concert Series on August 20, 2014 and a second show in Toronto, ON to be held at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on August 29, 2014.  Tickets for all new dates will be on sale on December 13.

Cross Insurance Center Bangor Maine Presents:  John Fogerty

Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, John Fogerty will be in Bangor to perform at Cross Insurance Center on August 2 during the 2014 Bangor State Fair.

John Fogerty is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who has sold over 100 million records, earning 18 Gold Albums and 10 Platinum Albums. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, won the Grammy Award for his album Blue Moon Swamp in 1997, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. He has written and sung many of popular music’s most timeless standards like “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born On The Bayou” and “Who’ll Stop The Rain” to name just a few. He is also a BMI Icon Award Winner. In addition, Fogerty and his #1 phenomenal recording “Centerfield” were honored during the 2010 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies–the first time the National Baseball Hall of Fame has immortalized a musician or song as part of the annual ceremonies. He’s also called the “Father of the Flannel Shirt.”

Multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan announced concert dates for the Sarah McLachlan Shine On Tour 2014. The national tour will kick off on June 20th in Seattle, WA and will visit major amphitheaters and venues across the country including the ACM Nominated, Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, ME on Friday, July 18 as part of the Machias Savings Bank Concert Series. The tour coincides with McLachlan’s forthcoming new album SHINE ON out May 6th on Verve Records.  Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 7th and can be purchased at www.waterfrontconcerts.com and all Ticketmaster Outlets.
McLachlan has also revealed album artwork for SHINE ON, her first full-length recording of new material in four years.  The new album was recorded in Montreal and Vancouver with Sarah’s longtime collaborator/producer Pierre Marchand as well as Bob Rock and Vincent Jones.
Sarah McLachlan is one of the most celebrated singer songwriters in entertainment with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. She is an eight-time Juno Award winner (Canada) and a three-time Grammy Award winner. McLachlan’s landmark fifth album, the 10x-platinum SURFACING, contained two Grammy Award-winning tracks: “Building a Mystery” and “Last Dance.”  In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour showcasing female musicians which raised over $7 million for local and national charities over its 3 years and in 2002 founded her non-profit organization the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. The school provides free afterschool music education for at-risk and underserved kids who otherwise would have no access to music programming.

The summertime tradition continues with the 2014 Bangor State Fair! 2014 is sure to be bigger and better than ever! July 25-Aug 3rd mark your calendars for this years fair. 2014 will feature some incredible shows and great entertainment for the entire family! There will also be 2 days of Big Time Demolition Derby action you don’t want to miss out on. And of course, John Fogertyhas been added to the Bangor State Fair festivities on August 2nd.

Admission:

  • $12.00 per person at the gate. Includes admission and unlimited mechanical rides, all the shows, exhibits, and animal visits.
  • Children under 3 are admitted for FREE, but if they want to ride you will need to buy them an admission.
  • Senior Citizen Day – Monday July 28,2014 all Seniors 60 and older admitted to the Fairgrounds for FREE.
  • $7.00 Per Vehicle on the Racetrack Infield
  • A limited number of VIP parking spaces on all weather blacktop and featuring easy in/out access to the Main Gate are available for $10.00
